Hey you all… sorry that I haven’t been around for a while. I’m back now and have changed the layout. I’ve got a lot of Sims stories to update!
I installed Gardens & Mansions on my laptop, but it really slowed down gameplay and caused some bugs. The same thing happened with Apartments. So I decided not to install these two expansions on my brand new smokin’ fast computer. I have everything installed except G & M, Apartments and Bon Voyage.
Keep an eye out for some upcoming stories and pictures! And check out my Sims 3 blog… I just launched it and will be updating it soon.

I mentioned in a previous post that Pleasantview was devastated after a major tornado. Well, happily enough, the town was rebuilt and the citizens have all recovered from the shock!
So the Pleasantview soap opera is continuing…
We’ll start with the lecherous Don Lothario!
After Cassandra told him that she thought she was pregnant with his child, Don nearly went into shock. He decided the right thing to do would be to marry her. So… he did. After all, out of all of his women, Cassandra came from good money and good breeding.

Little did he know that Cassandra would be inviting TWO of his other lovers to their wedding party – the Caliente sisters!

Naturally, both sisters were furious and jealous and slapped Don good and proper right after the ceremony.
However, Don is known for his philandering yet irresistible ways. While his new wife Cassandra was making the rounds with the other guests, Don was hard at work trying to make up with the Caliente sisters. Before the wedding party was even over, he managed to make up with – and make OUT with – both sisters, unknown to everyone else!

Poor Cassandra! She has no idea what she is in for with Don.
While Cassandra slept in late the next morning, exhausted from the wedding party and planning, Don was at it again. This time, he invited Kathlyn over for a quick woohoo in the convenient photo booth outside of the house.

A couple of days after the wedding, Cassandra realized that she is NOT pregnant with Don’s baby after all. She had just eaten some bad food prepared by Mortimer.
Uh oh. Don is going to be pretty darn mad when he finds out…
Find out what happens next with the philandering Don and newly worried Cassandra in the next episode of the Pleasantview Soap Opera! Mortimer, the Oldies, and the Caliente sisters will all have their stories updated. (Check back this week).

Meet Silica Marshall!

Her story begins in college – Sim State University. Silica has a popularity aspiration and her lifetime goal is to become Mayor of Pleasantview.
Silica started off a little slow in Uni. She was forced to live in one of the dorms while she saved her money for her own place. She had to make do with horrible meals of macaroni and cheese and spaghetti. However, once she got to the middle of her sophmore year, she had finally saved enough to get her own place. A 50,000 simolean inheritance from a deceased uncle helped, and she moved into a decent house of her own.
Once she got established in her house, she made a lot of friends. She threw lots of parties, always had people over at her house and she cooked for them.

She also frequented the campus coffee shop and could often be found buying one of her friends coffee.

But her sophmore and junior years passed without her finding any true love. Finally in her senior year, she met Michael. He was a family sim, and they began spending a lot of time together.

And one day… he popped the question!

As soon as the two of them finished school, they got a house together and got married!

They even went so far to buy an identical house that they lived in at Uni.
Michael decided he wanted to start a family immediately, and so Silica had baby #1 mere days after they moved into their new home.
But Silica is worried… she wants desperately to become mayor of Pleasantview. She feels as though she doesn’t have time for any more than one child. Michael on the other hand wants lots and lots of babies. His lifetime aspiration is to graduate three children from college.
Can the two of them compromise and live happily ever after, or will they clash over their very different aspirations and fall apart?
Find out in the next “Silica Marshall” installment!

A lot has changed in Simworld! First off, the old Pleasantview was sucked up in a massive tornado, killing 100% of the residents and townies. Therefore, a new Pleasantview was erected. Eerily enough, the new residents look the same as the old…
Meanwhile, Fairview was born, and with it, Wisteria Lane. It’s the Desperate Sim Housewives!
The Scavos (before Penny and Parker arrived) – Lynette, Tom, and the twins Porter and Preston:

The Van de Kamps – Bree, Rex, Danielle and Andrew:

The Mayers (before break-up) – Susan, Karl and Julie:

The Solis’ – Carlos and Gabrielle-

Edie Brit:

Since Wisteria Lane was born, a lot has happened with the residents. Some have split up, some have had more kids; some have grown up.
More Fairview pictures to come!

Isn’t Mrs. Crumplebottom extremely annoying sometimes? Many a time she has come along and ruined dates for my poor Sims. Once she hit a date with a purse and the date-meter dropped from “Good” to “Bad”.
Here are some photos of her in action…
Mrs. C waiting for Jade Anne to get out of the pool so she can lecture her on common deceny:

Oops, Jade Anne had other plans first:

Wow, Mrs. C sure know how to ruin a girl’s good time!

Mrs. C somehow showed up to Joey’s party and decided to get into the action – and the rum punch:

Oops, maybe too much rum and punch:

Good ole’ Mrs. Crumplebottom – what would we do without her?

Here is the next installment of the Pleasantview story, where I will be introducing new characters – Herb and Coral Oldie.
On the surface, Herb and Oldie were the perfect older couple. They loved each other very much, and even made time to do small things like watch television together.

They both had unusual habits. Coral liked to lay outside at night and watch the stars; Herb liked to play Pirates in the bathtub.

But that wasn’t the problem with their marriage. No, the problem was that Herb cheated on Coral – constantly. And with different women.

At first, Coral would pretend she had no idea what was going on. But one day, she snapped. After catching Herb kissing Bella Goth, she slapped the hell out of her to ensure she wouldn’t be coming back.

She didn’t speak to Herb for days, but they soon assumed their old routine. Then she caught him in bed with another woman, and that was the final straw.

Coral vowed that she would give Herb a taste of his own medicine, because she didn’t deserve to be cheated on day in and day out. And with that, she set out to get to know Mortimer Goth, who was a sworn enemy of Herb’s. (but who had flirted with Coral on more than one occasion)…
To be continued!

Hmm, I have had to uninstall Seasons on my brand new computer… for some reason, it would continually crash upon entering a saved family’s household. I have no idea what is wrong, but I uninstalled it and my game is now fine. I lost my Pleasantview Soap Opera story but have started it over. I guess I will wait until Seasons comes out with a patch before trying to install it again. Has anyone else had this problem?
Also, I installed Sims Life Stories, which is pretty much a lighter version of Sims 2, so any stories I do in that game I will post here. I hate that you can’t move the camera with the mouse anymore… (at least side to side). I’ve really gotten used to moving the camera that way and hate using the keypad to move it. Hopefully I’ll get used to it!
More later. Now onto the new Pleasantview stories…
UPDATE: It turns out that my video card isn’t as “new” as it needs to be to handle the Sims 2 Seasons expansion. What a bummer…!! Oh well, I can still play it on my old computer and will eventually be upgrading my video card here on this new computer.
